Yep, I confess. I'm a sucker for the
King of Instruments. It, along with the clock, was the most complex
mechanical device prior to the Industrial Revolution. It put reams of
sonic power in the hands of one person, and there's something to be said
for the rows upon rows of stopknobs with those mysterious names! |
