The site's very first navigation bar, preserved here for posterity.

-Star shine effect on the Forcastia logo is now random, meaning the pattern won't be the same every visit.
-Character sheet and backpack system totally implemented. A new character gets generated for you every visit; you unfortunately cannot save characters you really like (yet...)
-You can now find anths (the Forcastian currency) and fight monsters randomly around the site.
-New introduction text which is different depending on the character the Flash made for you.

-Presented my site in Internet Studio class. Really pleased with how the whole thing came out, although the sketchbook needs fixin' and the personal chambers and arcade don't even work yet. Aside from that, I made the flash a little smaller to cut down on negative space and totally separated the music player to decrease file size. I'd much rather have the vital thing be quicker to load and the optional thing take longer.
-There's also now an About button (the question mark) on the site that you can click for some quick, basic info.

Launched the new and improved Castle Forcastia. That is, the Flash version. Tremble in fear at its deep game-like storyplay!

June 29, 2007 (This is when the place was still a "journal")
Added a web counter from BoingDragon onto the foyer part of the site. I've admired the little dragon counters for years, but I never thought I'd actually have one of my very own!
And yes, I'm well aware that the last update was a year ago. Shut up. I'm quietly working on the site again.

A story was added in the Tavern's wine cellar. If that doesn't make sense then maybe you should go exploring!

Tidying up a bit. I've got some ideas that need this site to get up and running.

July 5, 2006
Another minor little update. The Tavern is now about halfway functional, and all the pages should have the stylish new navigation bar with the buttons I made myself (in Paint).

July 4, 2006
Haha, happy Fourth of July! No big celebrations here, I'm afraid, although the Tavern is being worked on today.

I'm torn between letting the site have a big "adventure" feeling to it, or making it more like other websites, that are more informational and functional. At any rate, I need some new images, so the little preacher graphic will be my filler for a while.

June 28, 2006
Okay, the site is looking better! Some of the pages are going to mimic the graphic style of the old game The Bard's Tale (Sort of). I saw it done on another site and I wanna do it here!
By the way, you guys don't have a problem with orange, do you? 'Cause it's sort of the first color I chose and now I'm afraid to change it.
Next I'm going to work on more images and stuff. By the way, I have no idea where I found this brick background. Awesome, though.

The journal opens its doors! ...Er, pages! A lot of the sections aren't finished yet, but work will begin soon. I know the page looks like ass right now, but to be honest, I don't know squat about making websites and HTML and Internet stuff. Sooner or later, I'll figure out what the heck I'm doing and make my website look really neat. I've got some ideas I might try implementing down the road. I've also been thinking about getting a counter, but I'm torn between a professional-looking one and a little dragony one from BoingDragon. And besides, that thing will probably sit at zero for a long time and I'll be too discouraged to go on.
