| Despite
a few million years of evolution, the raging spirit of his
Tyrannosaurus Rex ancestry is alive and kicking in Rexar. The same
fiercesome arsenal of claws and jaws, the same ruling authority, and
indeed the same lust for hunting anything that breathes... especially
if it is smaller or significantly behind on the evolutionary tract.
No-one knows this better than Tydo the raptor, Rexar's long-suffering
victim. Life would perhaps be much simpler for Tydo however if Rexar's
ultimate aims were as primitive as his bloodthirsty ancestors; for
Rexar, it isn't about catching his next meal, but instead a desire to
exert his dominance for his own entertainment and self-gratification.
In particular, Rexar's narcissistic fascination for his own feet leads
to any form of paw-related dominance, be it forcing his victims to
worship his feet or simply stomping them into oblivion. Whatever his
intentions, no-one forgets an encounter with Rexar, if indeed they live
to remember it. Rexar was the first artistic manifestation of my own personal macrophilic, podophilic and herpetophilic fantasies, and as a result has become my signature character. First appearing on paper in 2002, the design was merely an anthropomorphic variation on my then rather limited ability to draw Tyrannosaurus Rexes. Despite various anatomical inaccuracies bearing from this original design, I had become somewhat fond of the style and have therefore maintained it for many years, even if the form is somewhat crude. Rexar has gone through a dramatic series of physical developments (though his fundamental personailty has remained pretty much unaltered). He has modelled a variety of skin colours including blue, orange, yellow, green and the current red, and has also adopted various shapes and sizes from muscular to just plain fat. The sheer variety of different situations in which Rexar has appeared over the years has served to prove that he is of no particular size; indeed, depending on his subjects of interaction, Rexar has varied from human-size to dimensions of planetary proportions! He has also been dressed from time to time in a collection of pieces, but his most recent and indeed frequently-worn item of clothing are his blue-and-white sport sneakers, used almost exclusively as a means of warming his feet in time for his next victim... |
